The Chemainus Health Care Foundation (1988)

• raises and manages funds to be used to foster and encourage development and expansion of health care facilities and services in the Chemainus Valley
• is a charitable society...issues tax receipts
• is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the members.

  Secretary/membership: Irene Dutton
• annually provide s two scholarships of $ 1500 and two bursaries of $1000 to local students entering a health field .
• provides on going financial support to Chemainus Health Care Centre
• in partnership with BC Housing, is constructing a sixteen unit independent living complex on Foundation property across the street from the Health Care Centre.
  
  TO SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION
• become a member of the Foundation. Members give direction to the Board of Directors at the AGM in May of each year.
